For a city the size of Halifax, we are lucky to have a plethora of amazing restaurants; Eliot & Vine is one such example. On Sunday 6th August, my husband & I booked a table for 4 to treat friends visiting from out of town. This was our 2nd visit & both times we have not been disappointed. The decor, the lighting & ambiance are perfect. The staff are friendly, attentive yet discrete & the epitome of professional. Each night, the menus were similar in description but even though my husband ordered his favourite roast hen on both occasions, the presentation, plate, accompanied sides were completely different but both times deliciously perfect. I can understand how a chef would like to play & tweak his productions to maintain interest & excitement. Eliot & Vine is a wonderful ambassador of our very fine city. We shall be back again.

Love the homey atmosphere and the genuine friendliness of the owners. The sandwiches are really fresh - we recommend the smoke meat sandwich - delicious! We also really enjoy the large selection of coffees available.

A cosy space with nine wooden tables - 8 with two chairs and one with 6.(The large table has a bowl containing "lucky pennies").Excellent "Americano" made with coffee from North Mountain.Decent selection of pastries - mostly cookies, many of which, were nicely decorated.An interesting, and different, variety of items on the menu.I will definitely return to try The Caprese, roasted veggie quinoa salad, or the "overnight oats".Efficient, friendly counter service.Varied selection of art and photographs on the walls.Very good wifi service.
