I have been exploring their offerings for the past three weeks and can recommend:- Mini bites with Cardomon - savory delight well worth the 75 cent charge,- Cherries and cream filled galette with pistachio is very very good,- Double baked hazelnut croissant was too sweet for me, but goes well with coffee, - Double baked almond croissant, and- Double baked pesto crossant was very good.

We are always on the lookout for croissants that remind us of those from Europe. The one thing my husband and I always miss are good pastries and good baguette. It is so hard to find here because the butter and flour is not the same here in Canada. La boule feels like we are home, beautiful croissants that are flaky, airy and buttery. Loved their eclairs, nice choux pastry and the creme patissiere flavours are so tasty. The passion fruit was tangy and not too sweet. We also sampled the chocolate hazelnut tort, the lemon tart, and the carrot cake. All delicious but the chocolate hazelnut tort was by far the best one I have had, much lighter and moister then Duchess's chocolate cake. The carrot cake was skillfully presented with real dried carrot coins and nicely spiced flavours. The outer creme cheese icing was a little too thick for the amount of carrot cake, lost it's balance of flavours. The lemon tart was clean and simple. If you want beautiful pastries, this is by far the cities best. Would love to do a stage here just to learn more about pastry work!
